About Northville Youth Network
As a community-based social service organization, Northville Youth Network (NYN) has provided successful resiliency-based prevention and intervention programming for the betterment of Northville’s youth and families since 1987.
NYN is funded by the City and Township of Northville and works in partnership with Northville Public Schools. NYN serves any youth age 5-17 that resides within the Northville Public Schools boundaries.
Vision & Mission
Our vision is a community where all Northville youth are supported and encouraged to develop resiliency and a positive sense of self. In support of this vision, it is our mission to work in partnership with families, adult advocates, and community stakeholders, to offer socially and culturally inclusive programs and opportunities for youth that foster physical, emotional, and social wellbeing helping them to reach their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible citizens.
Core Program & Service Areas
NYN provides support to Northville youth through a wide variety of engaging, educational, and impactful programs and services that aim to:
Strengthen Well-being: We provide skill-based programs, services, and activities that equip young people with the tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. By fostering resilience, promoting balance, and strengthening protective factors, we empower them to develop healthy coping strategies, make positive choices, and build a strong foundation for lifelong well-being.
- B-Well Initiative (Balance, Well-being, Empowerment, Learning, and Living) consists of programs, workshops, activities, and partnerships
- Overbooked Parent Book Club
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Parent/Caregiver Group & PTA programs/presentations
Nurture Meaningful Connections: We create opportunities for young people to build strong, supportive relationships with peers, mentors, and their community. By fostering a sense of acceptance, belonging, and connection, we help them develop social and emotional skills that create a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in their lives.

Guide Personal Growth Pathways: We provide programs and services that provide support to individual youth and families to navigate challenges, build resilience, and access the resources they need. By offering tailored guidance, we help young people address behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs, fostering personal growth and empowering them to overcome obstacles with confidence.
- Youth Assistance Program that includes Restorative Practice classes like Teen Talk (positive decision-making) , Prime for Life (substance use prevention), Project Respect and Community Builders (anti-bullying)
- Case management services to help youth and families with complex needs navigate various support strategies
- Resource referrals to community-based supportive services such as behavioral health clinics, substance use treatment programs, and social service programs
Know a Youth That Needs Support?
Anyone can make a referral for a youth in need of supportive services. School staff, law enforcement personnel, and parents/caregivers can reach out to NYN on behalf of a youth in need of services.
