The Finance Department includes the accounting, budgeting, purchasing and
Treasury functions. This includes responding to public inquiries and requests of other City departments and Shared Services.
Daily activities include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, cash management, account analysis, and budgetary and accounting control. Special projects include analysis of the City's rate structures, capital programming, purchasing procedures, annual audit, employee benefits issues, and the identification and development of cost saving opportunities.
This department also assists the City Manager's office with a wide range of general and administrative tasks. This includes long-term planning, financial and operational assistance, labor negotiations, and personnel administration.
