Library
The Allen Terrace library was built with the vision of the late Housing Commissioner Ray (Butch) Casterline, who worked with the Northville Kiwanis Club to establish a special place where residents could spend quality time reading and learning. He wanted residents to have access to a wide variety of reading material on site. The Northville District Library works with the Housing Commission to ensure that Butch's dream is kept alive. The District library regularly updates the collection for the residents' enjoyment. The library is named "The Butch Casterline Memorial Library" in his honor.

She started with one computer donated from local dentist Dr. James Payne, and added four additional computers over the years. More recently, Vision Computer Solutions of Northville donated five new computers to the center and a printer.

The computer room is available for resident enjoyment seven days a week. Residents may browse the internet, check their email, or play a game such as Solitaire!
