February 27, 2024 Presidential Primary Ballot Information
This ballot includes candidates seeking nomination for the Office of President of the United States.
- 2024 Presidential Primary Candidates
Michigan's Presidential Primary has been designated as a Closed Primary. There is no political party registration requirement in Michigan Election Law. Any Michigan registered voter can participate in the primary. By law, you must make your ballot selection in writing on the ballot selection form on election day, or on the absent voter ballot application if voting by absentee ballot.

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES:

Late-December: Absentee Ballot Applications will be mailed to
voters that signed up for the Automatic AV Application list. If you
want to vote by absentee ballot, you must sign and return the
application. Click here if you need an absentee ballot application.

January 18: In person Absentee Ballots available at the Clerk's office, and Photo ID requirement in effect.

January 26: Absentee ballot mailings begin this week for voters that previously submitted their application.

February 12: Last day for online, mail-in, or Secretary of State branch office voter registration.

February 13 through 8 p.m. February 27: Unregistered voters must register in person at the Clerk’s Office with proof of residency.

February 16 Until 5:00 p.m. Deadline for electors to submit a written request to spoil their absent voter ballot and receive a new absent voter ballot by mail. Per MCL 168.765b(1)

February 16 Until 5 p.m. Deadline for electors who have returned their absent voter ballot to submit a written request in person to spoil their absent voter ballot and receive a new absent voter ballot in the clerk's office. Per MCL 168.765b(3)

February 19: City of Northville offices are closed for President's Day Holiday

February 22: City Clerk's office is open with extended hours until 8 p.m. for election related business only.

February 23 by 5 p.m. Deadline for electors who have lost their absentee ballot or not yet received their ballot in the mail to submit a written request to spoil their absent voter ballot and receive a new absent voter ballot by mail. Per MCL 168.765b(5)

February 24: City Clerk's office open 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. for in-person Absentee ballot requests. Ballot may be voted at City
Hall or taken home. Persons may also register to vote in person at the
Clerk's office with proof of residency.

February 26 by 4 p.m. Deadline for electors who have lost their absentee ballot or not yet received their ballot in the mail to submit a written request to spoil their absent voter ballot and receive a new absent voter ballot in the clerk's office. Per MCL 168.765b(7)

for registered voters to request an Absentee Ballot in-person at the
Clerk’s Office. Photo ID requirement in effect. Voters are not allowed
to leave with the ballot on this day and must vote the ballot in person
at City Hall.

February 27 - Election Day:
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You must be in line by 8 p.m. to vote. Voted
Absentee Ballots must be received by 8 p.m., at the City Clerk's office.
Postmarks are not accepted, and absentee ballots submitted after 8 p.m. are
not counted.

Up to 8 p.m. February 27: Unregistered

in person at their polling place.
